I'm sure you will be so much better on the injections. I was terribly sick on the tablets and lost a lot of weight, but as soon as I changed to the injections (which are really easy to do) the side effects were much more rare. I still drink a lot of water on MTX day and probably eat more, but no side effects. Not sure why simple changes to injection or increases in dosage take so long though (it's the same here). Good luck and hope you change over sooner than you think.😁

Thank you I just feel crap so with nausea and fatigue the sofa is a new best friend

I’m home on the sofa too Dee. I’ve had Norovirus since Sunday night. Stopped vomiting and running to the toilet yesterday. Very weak today and struggling to eat as nothing settles even water.Received my Biologic today sitting in the fridge but can’t use until 5 days of being well then the nurse will come for my first dose.

Spoke to the clinic to check whether i could take my methotrexate injection . No doing have to be fully well. Methotrexate injections are great I didn’t suffer like you on tablets but absorption is better I did notice my stomach had gone flat hadn’t realised I was suffering bloating ( just thought I was getting fat or fatter 😁) I do get a methotrexate hangover the next day. I sleep all day.

I learnt from clinic nurse if we get a gastric virus we suffer more and for longer because our meds already effect our stomach tabs or injections. I’ve never suffered with my tummy and never want to again even if I’ve lost over a stone.bonus my joints are amazing no stiffness or pain and I’ve forgotten how slim my hands feet and ankles are. Nurse said because I’m fighting a real infection my body is focused on that but when I’m better she said be prepared......my body likes fighting something so it will be me in the firing line 🙄🙄

🤞injections are the answer . Snuggle down. Glad you took the day off

It was funny I told Consultant life before RD I always suffered illness in tummy or bowel or stress in these regons. SO it does make sense to me my body does not like pills. So not long to wait.

Norovirus is awful so man people have it at the moment.

Take care too.

Hope you feel much better soon and when you go onto the injections you start to improve. Take care and if only sofa companies knew how much people with RD need their trusty sofa. I've had a nasty migraine earlier on and yes, blanket and sofa at the ready! Feel okish now.

Hello, I’ve recently started with methotrexate jabs. Relatively easy to get the hang of them and less side effects. I generally have a quiet day after the jab, bit muzzy headed & some headaches but nothing like as grim as the tablets! Just need them to start improving my joint pain :-). Good luck!

Thanks Katie I was on split pills for 2 weeks and this has made side effects worse and more drawn out but sticking by MTX as need to give it a fair journey with me 😁
