So I am finally at the point where I feel nearly normal again after a year and a half of pain. I came off my crutches last feb and have been gradually getting better so I thought I would share this with ye. Two of the videos are from when I was newly diagnosed last year but I was on a crazy amounts of steriods that failed me the following week, so this was the first week in 5 months I could walk, the following year was incredibly painful. The other two videos are from a Cabaret I performed at last saturday. a month ago I coudln't straightne my feet enough to keep a ball or a hoop on them or stand n one foot long enought o pull off any tricks now I on my way again :)....
On a happy note...: So I am finally at the point where... - NRAS
On a happy note...
Just t say I do still get stiff and sore and get minor flare ups regularly and it takes alot out of me to do this but I'm happy I didn't have to stop...
Can't see the videos but just wanted to say that I'm so pleased you are able to do your juggling and performing again - sure the rest will come back slowly but surely if you keep trying - well done! Tilda x
Thanks Tilda It's an uphill struggle but it's nice to be at the point where I can believe iot's possible again. having my juggling taken away from me was nearly the worst part of this disease (besides the pian and inability to look after myself of course)
I know what you mean - I'm an artist and couldn't work for about 6 months because my wrists, knuckles and fingers were too painful and swollen so I feel I've got a large chunk of life back now even though I don't have enough energy yet to use it to the full! TTx
Hi su2po
Just wanted to say that I watched one of your videos and it is absolutely amazing!
For anyone not able to view it, for some reason it hasn't come through as a proper hyperlink, but if you copy and paste it into your browser hopefully you can see it. Well worth a viewing!
Really pleased to hear that you are starting to see some improvements in your condition.
Kind regards
Victoria

@ Tilda, it's an aspect that doctors really just don't take into account as an artist that's an outlet so to go through something like that and have your outlet taken away from you too, it's allot to take. I went through allot of anxiety not being able to express myself physically anymore but I am getting there again.
@ Victoria, thank you so much, I haven't progressed in the last year and a half but I can start trying new things now
