Am feeling really rubbish today, house is a tip, kids want entertaining and I simply want to go hide my head under covers. Having unsuccessfuly tried GCSF injection to tackle the Feltys am currently getting no treatment (still on prednisolone and Hydroxychloroquine for RA) so am constantly feeling ill and more tired than I ever thought possible whilst awake. Like everyone on here we have to muddle on and no doubt will perk up but today is just a real challenge. Had a fall recently and its left me with dreadful pain in my shoulder and arm (makes my fingers tingle to which is not wholly unpleasant if a little concerning) doctor gave me Tramadol which didnt even touch it and most nights am awake a great deal of the time because no position is comfortable. Each week is now a recognisable pattern of struggling through the working week then the weekend is all about trying to get ready for the next one (probably sounds familiar to most) and its appeal is waning.
Better get back to the chores, only thing worse than doing them is them not being done. Hopefully next time I chime in will be when a bit perkier...

There are plenty worse than me and most days I can attack with good grace, today just got on top of me I guess, made a little easier by the fact I can have a bit of a whinge on here and people get it. Sun couldnt harm certainly, lets hope we get some and it sticks around, regards Elrose x
This rain has a lot to answer for with us ra people. At least your not alone, here there are a great bunch of people who will always help you. I have been looking at your blog Elrose and i kept trying to think of something to say to cheer you up. The one thing i can say is the housework will be there long after your dead so let it go today. The children can make a game out of doing the housework for you if you think they could manage it. Then two jobs killed with one stone. I am sending cyber hugs your way. sylvi.xxx
Would love for the midgets to do the housework since pretty much all of it is their mess...the 7yr old should do okay but would be on a hiding to nothing with the 3yr old lolx Hows things going with the knee? Elrose xx
Its coming very slowly. Psychio is amazed at how i'm doing considering its only four weeks. I have my moments with it when i wish i had never had the knee done in the first place. Then i think we all have moments like that don't we. Doing the housework i've been told is childs play!!! hope that makes you smile. sylvi.xxx
A friend of mine used 'revers psycology (< cant spell that so you will have to excuse me) when her children were young and told them that they were not allowed to do any cleaning or clearing up as they were too young and wouldn't be able to manage it - they were so grateful when she allowed them to do it, they thought themselves very grown up.
When I was little my favourite "treat" was washing the kitchen floor! Apparently I used to plead with my mum to be allowed to do it. Now how clever was she!
Anyway, these days I just take my glasses off so I don't notice the dust. Hope you're feeling a bit brighter today. Polly
Hi and sorry your having a rough day, hope you feel a little better tonight.
I found doing a little at a time always helped me, when thinking about everything it simply overwhelms us and we can't face any of it not knowing where to start. I used to get so stressed to the point where I wanted to run away from it all and just have a few days of peace and quiet.
Also the reverse psychology with the children does work or star boards offering treats when they get to certain places on it, even the little one will join in if it's turned into a game. As Sylvi says the house will be there long after your gone and no house is perfect when there's little one's living in it.
Good luck, I hope tomorrow brings a brighter day for you.
Thanks for all the comments, we are a wise bunch aren't we...am feeling brighter though in truth not much has changed, as suspected time and a little perspective does wonders. Thanks again Linda (aka Elrose) xx
Not had broadband for a few days so only just saw your post. I dropped the hoover on my head just before Christmas (don't ask!!!) and kept getting a tingling in my left hand. It got so bad I thought it might be the start of MS and was even sent for nerve tests. As luck would have it, I had arranged to see my physio because my hip was playing up and she had a look. A few rather painful sessions with her later where she pressed on my spine in various spots, and the pain and tingling disappeared. Turned out I had a nerve trapped in between two verterbra and once she released it it was fine. Might be worth asking your GP if he can refer you.
Thanks Bev will certainly see my GP as the numbness/tingling is getting worse, bizarrely when I saw him I put the pain down to having undertaken a very long drive several days previously it was only after when I remembered the fall..doh Am awfully tempted to ask about the hoover on the head..lolx
