Hospital then doctors.....

Well i'm home after going to hospital to see pychio and then on to the doctors to see the nurse to get half of my clips out. I wasn't too bad while she was taking them out, but now i ache like hell.

The hospital pychio was lovely,he had seen me before so he knew me. He said the surgeon who did my knee was very good. He wanted to know what happened from the word go. So i had to repeat it all again. The only things i'm doing wrong was i mustn't put cushions under my knee and i must have the foot of my bed flat as well,that is so my muscles round my knee don't get lazy and they start to work. He has also said that it was a major operation as well.

Then onto the doctors to see the nurse to get clips removed. Well that was a performance i can tell you. First she was half an hour behind, then when we got in,the nurse was lovely. There was 40 clips to remove, She only took out 20,which was we had expected. Now i have to go back to the drs on sunday to see another nurse to get the rest of them out.

Now i have had a good cry and took my pills and had my tea. Now i'm going to have a bath and get into bed to rest.

Well girls its 1.10am and i haven't slept yet. I couldn't get comfy, i fidgeted and farted about that in the i gave up and i have come downstairs. So now i am on my chair i'm going to try and get some sleep.

Hope your knee heals soon for you, the healing process is painful my Auntie had it done sometime ago but once healed she was great. Hope you start feeling on the up soon. I think night times are the worst when you have pain .and discomfort you feel so alone because all you can do is take the painkillers prescribed. Take care (((( sylvi)))) hug xx Ladybird

Thank you ladybird, I've been told the swelling round the knee will take possible months to go down. I have time on my side so it will come. If it was an ordinary op i would be doing more than i am now,but hey ho a dr finally believed me and did something about my knee. Now i am on the long crawl back to health.

You are still waking early then? Is it the pain still or because your body has got used to being awake so early?

What a miserable morning. I do feel so sorry for the people getting soaking wet waiting for today's celebrations in London and elsewhere. What a shame for the arranged street parties & etc. after we have had so much good weather.

Morning Judi, yes i'm up,but i'm not unhappy with that as i had a good nights sleep. I have some pain mainly when i'm on my feet. As long as i take it easy i'll be fine.

I have the bunting up, no i didn't i only supervised it all by sitting in a car and taking photos. I have my union jack nails on as well. I will be watching the river pageant from the comfort of my chair. I just have the rest of my clips out today.

Hi Sylvie, Glad you had a better night's sleep!

I am really looking forward to Tuesday's Concert for the Queen, which will be on ABC network. Us US folks always enjoy all the pomp and circumstance festivities of the British and the Roayl Family. Like I watched every minute of the wedding last year. Got up at 4 am, so didn't miss a thing

Morning lovely loretta,I sat and watched the river pageant yesterday and boy was it something to see i can tell you. I will be in bed when the concert starts as i will be resting again. I have to admit i'm a great royalist and i don't fancy having a president. There is no one in the land who made a vow like our queen and did carry it out. She is an inspiration to us all.
