I know of one person who went on MTX for 6 months straight away and went into remission with no joint damage and no lingering fatigue or joint pain. She def had RA and is sero-positive. She was in her 60's when it started and no longer takes any medication.

It may be that the folks I see regularly at monitoring and/or clinic are the ones who have more problems, but there do seem to be a lot of them!

I wonder is there any statistical evidence to answer this question? It is nice to think there is hope, but again acceptance is a break through for many. I think it is progressive and incurable - sorry Sparkle :( but at what rate is the big question?

i think it is 10-20% go into remission or only experience mild symptoms. What I wonder what are the others factors associated with the people in the 10-20% bracket. As ever just trying to get it all clear in my head. Also isnt burn out the same as cured?
