What percentage of people burn out or experience mild RA ?
dont know.. wish it was me!!. there is another type of arthrits called reacative arthritis which can be caused by some sort of infection ..sometimes S.t.d that can go within a year.. this is not Rheumatoid arthrits
A friend of mine had reactive arthritis and said it was awful at the time but didn't last very long...wish I could say that too
i think Ive heard of that- entero arthritis or something like that.

I know of one person who went on MTX for 6 months straight away and went into remission with no joint damage and no lingering fatigue or joint pain. She def had RA and is sero-positive. She was in her 60's when it started and no longer takes any medication.
It may be that the folks I see regularly at monitoring and/or clinic are the ones who have more problems, but there do seem to be a lot of them!

thanks guys so it doesnt have to be progressive incurable. wonder what the variables are in their cases. Its just shows tthat there is always hope!
xx
I wonder is there any statistical evidence to answer this question? It is nice to think there is hope, but again acceptance is a break through for many. I think it is progressive and incurable - sorry Sparkle but at what rate is the big question?
i think it is 10-20% go into remission or only experience mild symptoms. What I wonder what are the others factors associated with the people in the 10-20% bracket. As ever just trying to get it all clear in my head. Also isnt burn out the same as cured?
