Has anyone experienced chronic fatigue while off Mtx for any length of time. And if so, have you resumed Trex treatment and found the chronic fatigue is not so bad?

Hi, trexhater! I was on MTX for two full years and decided I wanted to stop because of all the negative effects it can have. After stopping, it seemed my RA went into remission. I never went back on it. Now I’m in pain with other things like peripheral neuropathy in both legs, one bad knee and the other knee bad surgery response, as well as osteoarthritis. Rheumy appointment coming up. Hoping for something new to help alleviate the pain. Hoping you find relief as well. If I had to grade MTX, it would be a good rating.

Thank you for yr reply. Unfortunately, I dont think there is a single RA med that does not have side effects, some more serious than others. Apart from the chronic fatigue, I have no indication of anything else so far. Dont want to go onto another dmard, just swapping side effects. Will see my rheumo nxt wk and maybe a lower dose of mtx - better the devil u know? Good luck wit your rheumy appt 🙂
