hi, I am in the process of moving to Lincolnshire and wondered if anyone had the name of a lovely rheumatologist who has good people skills and listens.

Doesn't Deep live that way hopefully she might reply soon. Personally I think best one is the one you can see as around here they are rarer than unicorns. I've had a nice but still locum for 3 years or so.

team at Lincoln/Boston run by Dr Tait are good. It’s not (as many are) as good as it was but the team work hard and do get back to you and talk. I have just moved so in the process of leaving them.

Is Dr Tait a good rheumatologist Deeb? I’m not very happy with Grimsby team so Boston might be a better option for me 🤔🤔🤔 xxx

He’s good but if complicated medical background can be a bit treacle walking but the nurse team lovely and they do get back to you. He might be due for retirement soon.

There seems to be so many older rheumatologists now. Dr Szbenyi is my current dr and I feel he will be retiring soon too. Where are all the new younger doctors specialising in rheumatology!!

I live in Nottingham and had phone call from my consultant this week to see how I was and was sad to hear he is retiring. I have seen the same consultant for 18 years. All thanks to him and his team for keeping me relatively pain free , able and mobile. Hopefully his replacement will be just as good 😊

So he's retiring? Interesting since I've been on a waiting list to see him after being on injections after 3 months. I call the reception desk and all they do is pass my info on and I never hear back. Good to see some people getting the care they need but I don't have feel forgotten about especially in these dark time :(

Hi Jack, have you tried contacting the rheumatology nurses. They are very helpful if you experiencing any problems.

I believe I have but if you want to send me a number incase it's different. They can never really help because what I need is to find out is what happens next. I recently lost my job and finding another job with my problems have been near impossible so I needed guidance on whether I am fit for work or not. And what I can do to better my chances etc.

Hi Jack if you attend QMC rheumatology department Nottingham the advice line number is 01159 709 325. Have you also spoken to your GP and phoning NRAS are a good listening ear and may be able to guide you on your next step. I do hope one of these suggestions will help you. Let me know how you get on. Best wishes

I have recently seen Dr Shaza Obaid at the Lincoln County Hospital. She is also a private consultant I believe at the Blue circle Hospital Lincoln. I have seen different rheumatologists in the last few years as they do seem to change them. I have always been happy with my care whoever I have seen and always got the treatment needed. I miss my old rheumatologist Dr v kaushik that originally diagnosed but not sure where he disappeared too 😢

Dr Gillot and his team at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital. Dr Gillot also works privately at St Hughes in Grimsby too. x

I saw Dr Alvi at Grimsby and was not impressed, he dismissed most of my symptoms.
