Grounding Sheets and mats

Has anyone on the site used Grounding Sheets? I am a bit sceptical (thats me all over) but I bought a Grounding Mat and have been using it along the bottom of my bed and I do sleep more restfully without tossing and my latest blood results showing the lowest ever CRP result. ESR (the bodies dustbin )still very high though that could be caused with Mgus.

Would love to hear anyone's views on the subject.

These mats have been discussed before. I can’t remember when sorry. You could try a search for previous comments.

Thank I have now looked them up. Still they seem to have done "something" for me.

I well remember when I started this journey many years ago was told that I would end up with a drawer full of bits and bobs, supports splints etc how right it seems. Gentle hugs and thank you for your reply.😚🌹

If you think it works for you…..it quite probably does πŸ˜‡

well with CRP going down very low when it is usually rather too high...maybe it has worked.

Do not laugh but yesterday a church friend at a fete event told me that 6 golden raisins in gin every evening is an established and old 'cure" for RA. I nearly fell off the pew !! its worked for her ! I said "have you seen a Consultant?". " Oh yes" she said "he's prescribed MTX" so the relief isn't to do with MTX she's assumed but the raisins! Just doh !!!!

And God does work in mysterious ways. I have faith but not stopping the Etanercept and AZA for golden raisins yet!! The mind is clearly a powerful tool though and as long as its not doing harm then its always worth a go. lol xx

Just ordered five bags of golden raisins and several crates of gin

Not on MTX though...luckily the gin doesnt bother me but love raisins and every fruit.

Off-licences must have queues way down the road. Reminds me of mum soaking cotton wool in whisky and putting it on a tooth that I had toothache in, any tooth Didn't appreciate it then!! x

Oh Yes....you get some ladies saying I have that too in my right thumb!! Snake Venom was mentioned when I was first diagnosed. Ignorance is bliss. Yes using the MTX does cause other problems but it allows us to function. Keep safe and keep smiling...does wonders. xx

A close friend has recently recommended grounding sheets to me. Her and her husband both now have much more restful sleep after making a purchase. I’m much more sceptical though and they are quite a price ! πŸ€”

Good Morning, Yes my sleep is more restful too. I have never had such a low CRP result--maybe its the juicing (all that fruit and veg) or just maybe its the mat. I will be getting a sheet but will only choose Groundology or Rowlands as I believe them to be the best. Keep safe and keep smiling.😊🌹

Oh dear, sorry but oh dear...

You really need to be more grounded ageddancer - or rather you don't!

Please take a look at this & don't waste your money

If it helps you then there is no harm.

There is a lot that medical science doesn't understand. We are all individual. The problem with long term conditions is that we so want there to be something to help that when we medical help fails we look to see if there are alternatives. Sometimes they help and sometimes they don't. Occasionally some things can do harm, such as some herbs. That is where the danger lies. The science often catches up a long time afterwards. I remember my father saying about the healing properties of honey back in the 1960s when all doctors thought it was rubbish. They now use manuka honey in wound dressings especially to help people with diabetes. There is much we still have to learn.

Hi ...I totally agree with what you say. We still find that leeches (yuk) help with some people ulcers!! The aborigines used tea tree water that was in a local pond (under a tree) and now the Aussies use it in hospitals!! Luckily I am full of common sense. With Grounding nothing to make things worse.... so worth a go.

Just watching the Paralympics...how hard they train and lovely to see the achievements.

At times you cannot help but shed a tear. Take care, keep smiling. SueπŸ˜Šβ˜•

I too remember a conversation about these mats before. Unfortunately, I haven't used one, but your results sound good. Maybe as Medway-Lady says do a search to see if you can find the discussion. Good luck with the mats and I hope your blood results continue to reduce xx

Hi ..Yes I dont know if the CRP (inflammation) results are part of Grounding but its worth continuing. Thank youβ˜•

Yep - I bought one for the whole of my bed.......made no difference whatsoever...! ;)

ageddancerβ€’ in reply toDJK99

How long did you use it for? I am told it can age several months. I also think that it is better trying one of the more expensive ones as the others are not so well and do not contain the same amount of threads.....if not try walking barefoot if possible. I am going to the coast this weekend and hope to walk along a beach (being very careful as we have weaver fish around..what next!!) still sceptical but......πŸ˜•πŸ€”πŸ‘‹

Hello - I used one of the best (apparently) rowlandearthing.co.uk/produ...

I have had it for approx a year now.. I think I thought there was a difference in the first week.. but possible the old placebo effect.. although I'm generally never affected by that. Definitely into the barefoot on grass etc option - however my nearest area like that is down a very steep hill... that I find it almost impossible to get up again!

I used to live in Brighton but the walking on that cobbled beach was agonising for my boney old hugely arthritic and bone remodelled feet... Not a goer for me.

So I do all I can in so many other ways.. Yoga every day, if not had any ops, nor in a bad flare.. and eat brilliant diet, hugely hydrated, lots of excellent quality eco supplements and all that sort of thing.. and walk around the flat barefoot if my feet are up to it.

All the best everyone if you find a good grounding sheet!

D

Hi

I too am trying to each a very healthy diet, making lots of juices ie a green Swamp Juice and generally better than the norm. I am off to the coast on Saturday and hope to walk barefoot on any soft sand (not at waters edge as we now have weaver fish lurking). I found a "man who does" who makes my orthotics using leather and the padding...they last years and make such a difference. I have started using the pad...will order a sheet if I dont win one on Ebay (new) and try to do everything to keep myself fit and well. Pay for a brilliant foot clinic and physio...so cannot do much more. I hope you remain as healthy as possible and keep smiling (it makes such a difference). πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘β˜•

Me too BUT with good old common sense and the terrier instinct in us means we do the very best we can. Good luck I am just about to make two more juices (funny how they make you so clear headed and not needing any rubbishy foods) We are worth it.πŸ‘πŸŒπŸπŸπŸ₯‘πŸ₯•πŸ₯¬πŸ₯¦

Yes - I have do a ton of research on all my conditions, and all the vile treatments/ops/meds they all want to do to me - often far more injurious for someone like me than not in many cases.. Do take a look at my profile if you want a laugh......! Keep up the juicing and well done you. All the best, D
