Hi Kittyj

Yes it is!!

I have just bought the book Earthing!!

in reply to PinkLamb

Ah right 😊 looks interesting but I can’t walk without something on my feet let alone lay down and be able to get up again 😂 Let us know how you get on though.

Hay you can sit in a chair bear feet and just connect your feet to the ground.

There was a post about it 10 days ago

I think the principle of getting benefits from contact with the environment/nature/organic world is good, and if you are able to do so then great. But the minute people start suggesting buying special equipment then to me it turns into a money making scam.

Yes it sound like me a money maker but you can try for fee during summer and hay if it works well no harm in trying it for winter.

Unless you go south during the winter.

Bottom line it seems to be confirming if you relax & have a good night’s sleep you will feel better......or am I missing something?

I feel relaxed and I love walking in the grass especially when it's wet. I guess it was refreshing and it helped with stuffance

Hi,

I haven’t bought or want to buy any products for what is essentially a free and natural thing - lying on the ground and soaking up the calm vibes. Some of you may be interested in the e-book Earthing Every Day by Simon Benjamin. It’s a short volume and is geared towards relieving anxiety- he’s not a ‘product’ advocate and has some useful thoughts on the experience of grounding. I personally call it ‘being outside and relaxing’ - I’ll never make it in the commercial business sector!!!

I once lived in a remote village surrounded by fields, i ventured into one snd decided i would lay flat among the long grass to experience a world totaly void of human input, i e no planes, traffic , people or noise to be tataly at on with nature, i layed on my back looked at the sky and a dogs wet tongue ran over my face followed by its owner asking if im allright!! I gave up lol

The only problem I would have with lying flat on the ground and soaking up,the calming vibes......would be to make sure there was a big hunk around the heave me upright!

Or I’d spend the night there...& get pneumonia!

Can i get a big hunk on the NHS? Mmmm there may be a hidden advantage to the RA malarkey after all 😎

It feels good on the feet and relaxing.

Maybe that's why we had so much energy when we were younger

My Wrists are in a terrible terrible flare! I was so desperate for some relief and after checking out the video about "Grounding", I just went outside (5:30am) and walked around barefoot for 10 minutes. Wonder what the neighbors thought if they had seen me walking up & down the lawn in my bathrobe in the early am!! lol!

Anyway...Nothing happened!!!

I was disappointed. I thought for sure after watching the video and the mother said the colicky baby stopped crying, I would too!

Boy was I gullible but will try ANYTHING to make the pain stop!!

Note: Never actually saw the process of the baby and how it stopped crying but just by what the mother said.

How are things going with the grounding now.

Let me know how things are going

Walking around barefoot is not doing anything!

Back on the dreaded prednisone!

I guess its a bit like the 'mindfullness' thing. A bit of old fashioned lifestyle (slower n less hectic n less techno focussed) mixed with common sense self care...... just commercialised.
