what are the other problems you think it is causing? You can also do a search for past posts about it that may help you
Sorry to hear that. Abatacept has been really good for me for two years now and no issues (other than the current imminent shortage of the pens.) Are your blood results deteriorating?
It gave me painful and chronic eczema so had to be stopped since then it's gone.
I’m very skin sensitive to many meds, toiletries and foods, but nothing like that for me re Abatacept. However, I will react badly to something as basic as aspirin but I never had any allergy to a blunderbuss of a med like Rituximab. 🤷♀️
Life is odd and I only ever got eczema with this one but am allergic to penicillin and latex. It started on my right shoulder and spread across to left then both shins. I used the cream the GP prescibed but it just helped a bit so as it was getting worse I showed the photos to consultant who said it was a known reaction and stop using it. It never worked that well either but it got so painful and started going up my neck so I was glad it was stopped. Xx
I’m also allergic to penicillin and latex! Lots of things in the Colophony family too. Sorry to hear Abatacept never worked too well. I started mine Aug 22 which was almost two years after having had my last Rtx but I feet Rtx was still doing something, so I never went down the slope to feel Abatacept bringing me beck up as such. It just seemed to continue with being alright. 🙏 xx
You need to go back to the rheumatologist and talk to them. If your rheumatology department uses an online tool that could be a good place to send them a message because you will be able to list the symptoms.
