Hi everyone,I'm just leaving this message here for anyone who searches for advice now or in the future.
After over 2 years of struggling with nausea and fatigue for a couple of days after my methotrexate injection, I've discovered something that really helps me.
I eat really lightly and clean on the day I'm due to inject - No sugar, nothing too heavy, no alcohol (although I don't drink anyway), basically... super healthy.
The difference it's made to my fatigue and sick feeling stomach is wonderful.
Sometimes depending on how I'm feeling I carry this over to the day after the injection too, but by the following day I'm much better.
It's worth a try

Thanks C_P that's a good tip. I always avoid alcohol (although I'm not a big drinker) and make sure to stay well hydrated, if I don't I get a terrible headache.
I was advised to try and keep to a Mediterranean diet, as It has very positive anti inflamatory affects. The thought of alcohol on the day of injection or the following day makes me feel nauseas! I only drink on a weekend and only a glass or two
I've just swapped my mtx day from Sunday to Monday as I like to have a couple of glasses of wine on Sunday and was thinking it's probably not a good thing to do both on the same day!
That is interesting to hear, l always have my Methotrexate injection last thing on a Sunday night after a shower and have no side effects at all. However l do mot have alcohol at all except to have a toast on special occasions as l find alcohol does affect my RA and other health problems l have. There are so many non alcoholic drinks available l have these and have managed to lower my methotrexate down to 10mgm weekly since doing that, much more beneficial for me . Hope you continue to improve
