Hi, I’ve heard recently that hyperbaric oxygen therapy is good for certain conditions- does anyone have any experience of this with RA? I had a severe flare at the beginning of Feb, and I really don’t feel like my over it, getting fed up of the pain and fatigue. Waiting for an appointment to see rheumatologist, also a follow-up from gastroenterologist and orthopaedics (investigating whether I may have oestoarthritis in knee). Appreciate your time to reply. Thank you.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
There's a good summary of the indications for hyperbaric oxygen therapy here:
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
Rheumatoid Arthritis is not on the list.
There is a very small study on 10 patients (2 of these were excluded as they were in remission, so 8 really) which concluded further research was needed :

Expensive and not proven.
I paid for course of HOT (10 in total) which progressed to different depths (pressures) and had to stop after 5th session due to tinnitus and unfortunately it had no effect on my RA.
