methotrexate with leflunomide

Does anyone take Methotrexate 20mg together with Leflunomide 10mg and tell me if it has any side effects and how you feel???

No I thought it replaced it, but you really need to ask your prescriber.

I took both together for a long time without any problems. I was on 30mg of leflunomide and 20mg of mtx.

Personally I preferred the leflunomide to mtx but it’s the mtx I’m still on alongside my biologic. It can be a long journey to get to the right medication that suits you. This site is really helpful but a lot of people who feel better stop using it so don’t feel like you there is no light at the end of the tunnel. I was diagnosed at 14 and have now nearly had this condition for 30 years. But I work full time as a teacher, go to the gym and have completed 60 mile bike rides. Fingers crossed for you. 🤞

Thank you very much for your answer. I'm new to this and I've only been able to walk with crutches for 4 months because my ankles swell and hurt so much. I hope that these new medications will help and I will be able to walk without crutches.
