I’m sure anyone who is following recent events will know that recently a member was banned. They then rejoined to post extremely offensive abuse which I reported. The post was removed as it contravened the site rules I’m not sure nor do I care if it was by the OP or HU because it was clearly the ramblings of a deluded and bitter paranoid person.
I think it may be that they may have rejoined under yet another name so have asked HU to check their IP address. If they are not the same person then I’m sure they won’t mind as the site should be protected from people whose motives can be questioned. If it is the same person then I hope HU can better monitor who joins because banning a user name is clearly not a ban on an individual.

I saw that really weird and offensive post - basically one long unpleasant rant - as I went to bed the other night - he /she appeared to have made up a new name made up from various members who I assume had obviously complained about him /her.
Next morning it had gone and I began to wonder if I had imagined it. Obviously not. How did the person know who had reported him/ her - I would have thought that would be anonymous?
Yes they were guessing, they accused three people of 40 reports when that definitely was not the case. A vendetta against three people who questioned their advice.
Yes if you report somebody it is anonymous, but a few members challenged dubious replies from this person, on this site,& he made a failed attempt to scare us off.
Fat chance! Hopefully things will now return to normal,
I told the OP it was me for the avoidance of doubt and to save them accusing others. My reply was deleted along with the post saying it's been reported. This person then might under yet another use name be doing same again this morning so I reported and yet again the post and user name has gone. It would appear that HU has no real checks or vetting to join the site. Banning seems to be by mutual consent ?
I must have missed all the drama when I was feeling sorry for myself about the colonoscopy. There’s no place for nasty people here and HU should ensure that to protect members.
Are you ok now? my husband had one on Wednesday and because he has a heart monitor they decided he had to have sedation. So I've got endless bragging rights... But he then said that they also thought it best to be sedated if his wife was driving his car home! That ends the picking up from the golf club. lol But they found nothing wrong so his "medical procedure " was worth it. Take it easy.
Made me laugh thank you. Yes thanks, I had sedation and the gas but still felt it but no cancer found just diverticulitis. Had your hubby’s was ….. a hole in one 🤣
I learnt the hard way that, due to VPNs and data protection, HU and their charity partners can never fully ban a person. So we are never fully safe on any of these communities - same with all social media. Members either have to be more guarded in what we disclose or take a risk, be ourselves and be thick skinned - just report, report report and always take screen shots if the abuse is very targeted and personal.
I didn’t see the offensive posts but had noted their rather odd replies over the past few months! It makes me cross that a place where poorly and sometimes vulnerable people come to vent and ask for advice can be used by trolls 😠😠. Sadly this is the norm on social media but it should not happen on here!
sorry you had to go through that unfortunately you can’t stop these ppl they just don’t care and normally have more than one ip address. I had a man on fb telling all my family and friends we were together going places I had my account locked and he had hacked into my account the stuff he wrote was really scary my family kept telling them to get lost I was at a funeral and he wrote we were in bed all day etc and he didn’t mess with his words. Fb did nothing but in the end I quit fb and shut down my account. Police found them at an address down south I’d never met them they just thought it would be a bit fun. Along with 4 other people All the ppl that were targeted are you friends and have you upset someone that’s what I did try to work out who it was.
The people he targeted are not friends and he didn’t like that when he gave dangerous advice we picked him up on it and reported it. Accusing people and being abusive then deleting his rants at us before NRAS could see them.
some men don’t like us strong women so good on you for pulling him up hopefully he got the message because these ppl get into all sites and spoil it for the gen ppl
