Shockwave treatment.

I am having shockwave treatment for planta fistula on my right heal. Has anyone had experience of this treatment.

I had one session for my hip bursitis. I couldn't go back for the second treatment as the osteopath wouldn't do it without a hip x ray to confirm diagnosis. It was very painful. I have since had a steroid injection which has helped a bit.

Yes I had shock wave treatment on my heel and really regretted it, it made me much worse. I think it made everything worse resulting in me having to give up work. I have fibromyalgia so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. Think carefully be for you go through with it, hope if you do go through with it you have better experience and results.

Thanks for your reply. I have read the info on the link in the replies and the nhs give three sessions and then assessment is done. So I think I will not have the next treatment in a fortnight. I will wait a month to 6 week and see how well the treatment has worked and then decide.

I can not give having more treatment as it is not doing my effecting my tissues in my arch and I can not afford to keep paying out.
