had you detailed on the email what meds you required. If not I can see why they’d ask. The only way they would know is to request your medical records to see what’s been written on previous appointments.

I thought I was going through to the nurses not admin it's the same email if you have side effects was told will get back to you 3 to 5 days... Nurse told me to email for the meds. I just find it all disjointed in pain today so had enough. Eye problems told to sort through opticians foot problems told to ask gp for podiatry if can get an appointment.Bells palsy long standing weakness worse. Presumably because of meds after years of it being okish told to ask gp again for referral. Going round in circles normally positive.

When I was in hospital I suggested that the medical people could get together with the rheumatology people and the derm people to see what is wrong with me. This was Like an alien concept that people would talk to each other.I understand your frustration.

Thanks feeling more positive today. Think part of the issue is no one has time to explain anything they think you know if you ask anything the door is open for you to leave I am succinct and don't like to bother but you need to know what you are doing I will also have to get used to people not bothering to say hello as they take blood ha

Glad today was better, I had a better day too. I'm planning to make a private appointment with a rheumatologist in the new year so I can sit down with someone and they can go over everything and have time to discuss.

Don’t be silly 😜 that sort of cooperation is banned by NHS in case we find out what is actually wrong with us and get given the right tests and medicines and may even begin to get better 🤣

Imagine if they were actually efficient. 🙈

I'm sorry to see this negativity and scepticism here.

Unfortunately all based on actual experience

Sorry some of are struggling. I saw a lovely young physio today if that's more positive with a referral for podiatry and hydrotherapy. I had to buy a walking stick for fear of falling over today and as I can't walk without pain my daughter is driving me. Thanks.

My hospital handle repeat prescriptions for DMARDs. Whenever you request a repeat prescription you have state the medication you require and the dose you take.

Think I have learned that now thanks

I'd have asked for a long list of things cocaine, morphine...etc....they probably wouldn't have seen the funny side of it.

Bless you. Flipping frustrating isn't it., and difficult when in pain. I hope things are sorted soon, and you feel better.

Have you got the Shared Care document produced by your NHS trust/ICB?

I had a wonderful moment when I quoted the shared care agreement to a GP nurse. She asked how I knew about it. I pointed out that the rheumatologist had attached it to the letter she sent to the surgery. And as I have full access to my medical notes I had no problem reading it.

Sheepishly she pulled it up and read it.

If the GP surgery isn't following the local protocol for shared care, then its time to have a word with the practice manager. The NHS shouldn't be making our lives more difficult.

I am at west mid and it’s very frustrating to get any kind of answer. They are an out hub of Chelsea and Westminster and there is no full time rheumatology there. After getting the auto reply so many times but actually no one ever came back. I now see consultant at the main hub Chelsea and Westminster and have all my tests and bloods done at west mid. There is an email and they usually respond within a day which is amazing! Ms it’s always the same lady in the admin team so she kind of gets to know you. She will go and ask questions to the consultant and nurses and come back.
