I am 73 years old and suffer from chronic eczema I have had lots of steroids an mtx, last meds are acetretin, which combined with steroids but since weening off the steroids, itching has returned, so have to wait next appointment for next meds, has anyone else experienced similar??

I don’t know what else you use on your skin but my husband who grew up with dreadful eczema was using lanolin to soften his skin - masses of it - when I met him. Turned out he was allergic to the lanolin and it was exacerbating the condition. As an outside chance could it be something like that that is causing your itch to return?

I have been using zero base all over my body twice a day, it's OK for temporary relief an a good moisturiser, but at the moment not doing to well. Any further recommendations welcome. Thanks for your input

Sanurita have you had a look for a different HU group for this problem as you might have more replies than in a rheumatoid arthritis group? I hope you find relief soon 🤗

Try a little jar of organic Coconut oil cold pressed from supermarket. £2 in Asda. Otherwise I believe E45 cream could work?

I always find Aveena lotion and bath help me when I had an allergic reaction to leflunomide. Maybe it will help. Good luck
