I would add to this to wear a FFP2 mask to avoid lurgy from the air conditioning (also Covid!).

I also take my footwear off and wear compression socks covered with slipper socks to ensure cosiness.

Also a thick cardi for any temperature drops and a blow up cushion…

I just want to point out that many of the seats on planes that have extra leg room are the seats by the emergency exits. If you can't move quickly to get out in an emergency, you should not book those seats.

They are also the coldest seats on an aircraft….avoid them like the plague on a night flight!

Don’t worry OT…cabin crew are trained to get people moving ….believe me if you need to move fast to get down that slide ….you will!!

The front row are usually ‘extra legroom’. As you rightly say, the one’s by emergency exits cannot be used by people with severe mobility issues..

Many airlines do not allow SA passengers to sit in the aisle seats, we have to sit by the window so as not to impede other passengers in an emergency.

My top tip is to smile at and thank everyone who helps me!
