We can’t answer that Pansy, you need to speak to your doctors about what you need to do, even if someone else hasn’t that doesn’t mean you should do the same. Give them a call and ask 😊
Speak to your rheumatology team. When I had orthopaedic surgery my rheumatologist said there was no point stopping leflunomide as it has such a long half life. However, that doesn’t mean your rheumatologist will have the same opinion. The other things they will take into account are the risk of infection from that type of surgery and how likely you are to flare by stopping the medication.
It seems unlikely but please check with your Rheumatology team.
I had a cataract op last December and I didn't have to stop taking my Leflunomide.
