Public Enquiry !

Just seen the news and a public enquiry into drug delivery companies is going ahead. Great news for all of us mucked about and lied to by Sciensus. I know it’s about time these companies were held to answer for their lack of care, and at such high cost to the taxpayer. I’m so glad my MP is fully aware of my views and promised to get back in touch.

I'm sick to death of repeated failures of Sciensus. What a relief their performance is being investigated.

While I know that a lot of people have complained, I do think it depends on where you stay, and to keep this balanced, I live in NE Scotland and have had excellent service from Sciensus and have had no problems from them. It was the same when under a different medication I had Lloyds.

I agree, I’m fortunate to living in the South East, I’ve not really had an issue in the 6yrs I’ve been with them or healthcare@home their previous name. I’ve only had one failed delivery where my injections never made it onto the van, and I wasn’t informed because the driver and customer services couldn’t agree who should inform me, so no one did. The only frustration I have these days is I get an email the day after receiving my 3 month delivery telling me I must book my next delivery, but when you click the link it doesn’t let you. Not quite sure why the rush to book in for 3 months later, which may change if I’ve stopped for antibiotics.

The couriers I’ve had are always very friendly. Although I understand not everyone has been so lucky.

When they're good they're good, when they're bad they're VERY bad!

Good news ! 👏 well done

Good, I'm being generous when I say they've been very economical with the truth to me.

I know that expression well as not allowed to call someone a lie in Court. They were" somewhat economical with the truth" but in my case they lied in writing as well. That's what made me so cross, I'd have gladly accepted a simple sorry our error but no apology until MP got involved and sent to Secretary of State for Health asking questions. So how many others have they done that too. At least I did something as if we just accept these things they continue. xx

I also do something when it gets out of hand/crazy. (I’m being meddled about dreadfully by Lloyd’s at the moment. Sciensus behaving 🤞🏻) I refused to be yelled at and ridiculed by a Sciensus delivery driver on the phone and then in my own garden and let him get away with that. Then be told he said I refused to come downstairs and accept a delivery. What total lies. I did get an apology from a Sciensus manager and assurance the driver would not deliver to me again. If no apology I would have gone to my MP too. Glad they took notice of you. That was so unprofessional to be lied to in writing by Sciensus. 😑 x

I have no issues with them at all also in Scotland they deliver to my work for me. One thing I don't want to have their app on my phone so would rather they still text but just download the app to order then take if off again

I’m glad they are being investigated. We had an absolute nightmare with them. They left my daughter I the middle of her GCSE exams with no medication - an extra stress she really didn’t need. When her rheumatologist wanted to change her biologic her first question was which ones are not delivered by Sciencus. A 16 year old should not be making decisions about her treatment based on which company delivers medication.

That is shocking and it was reading about the poor people being let down with the delivery of cancer drugs that really upset me. As an articulate adult I can stand my ground but a child being let down is horrifying. I hope her exams went well and she is loving school but ready for the summer holidays.

That was 12 months ago. She did OK in her GCSEs and with the support of her teachers has stayed at the same school for sixth form. I must saying not having to deal with Sciencus for 9 months has been nice. Her current biologic is supplied by boots. The branch at the hospital ring regularly to see how many we have left and I can arrange to pick up the next batch when needed from any boots branch. So much easier. Unfortunately it looks like she’ll be changing medication again soon and I fear we’ll be back to battling with Sciencus.

I agree re the more vulnerable patients. Not acceptable to leave them without meds. 😑🤨
