Hyrimoz (Adalimumab) and Stiff Muscles/Cramp

I've been diagnosed with RA for about 15 months.

After struggling to get the condition under control with DMARD, the consultant started me on 40 mg Hyrimoz injections on top of the methotrexate jabs I've been on pretty-much from the start. I've just had the third dose (i.e. I'm a little over a month in) and I've noticed some improvement in my joints, but I'm now getting stiff muscles and mild muscular cramps (especially calves, but also thighs, and lower back).

Some of it might be due to increased activity (if the joints hurt less, I do more), and on balance I'd rather have stiff/sore muscles than stiff/sore joints, so I'm ahead, for which I'm grateful!

Has anyone else out there experienced this side-effect and, if so, is it just my body adjusting to the latest poison, and it should ease in time?

I have had RA for 12 years since being 51 and tried loads of drugs nothing helped until a few years ago with the newer bio drugs. Bad cramps, skin rashes and tiredness but you will get there by being honest and reporting if a drug is not working for you until one does in the end, Good luck. 🌼🙂

If you find a reliable cure for cramp everybody on here will be delighted!

I've always had lots of cramp both before an after adalumimab. I think that having marmite improves it a little but then I like marmite....
