I am on Methotrexate injections but need more to help control my RA.Yesterday I started Filgotinib 200mg one daily.I am praying this med will be he one to help control bothersome symptoms of swelling and pain in toes, ankles, knees, hands and wrists.I had both knees replaced ten years ago but still have swelling. My hips have both been replaced recently and are doing well. At the moment I am on 7.5mg pred for Polymyalgia.Last year reduced to nil unfortunately pain came within couple weeks.I was put back on 20 mg short course, as I had first hip replacement op scheduled and had to be off pred for this. After op went back on pred reduced to 5mg this time for second replacement.Sometimes wonder if I will ever kick pre d into touch.Still get occasional pain in shoulders and upper arms had steroid injection this helped in February.I guess time will tell if this new med will work it's magic. If anyone has tried Filgotinib recently I would love to hear from you.I am now on med number 11.Thanks.

Hello Bella59 I have been on Filgotinib since January I feel great on it ,to me it has changed my life I can do so much more and not in pain I saw my Rhummy last week and he was happy with my progress, I also take 15 mg Methotrexate.also my big nodules on my elbow and feet have shrunk .feel free to ask me anything x
Great that it is working for you.I also take 15mg methotrexate, hopefully it will work in my favour too. Thanks for replying.x
That is great to hear! Will be starting Filgotinib at end of January after my second Shingrix vaccine after Xmas.
Was put on Sarilumab last January and white blood count dropped seriously low and was advised to shield. Took 3 weeks for bloods to recover only to be told to try it again! Eventually taken off it, as it happened each time. Since been struggling with flare ups all year and particularly with my knee which needs aspirating every 6-8 months. Hoping Filgotinib will work for me!
Hi Bella,
I’ve been on Filgotinib for almost a year now and I am so pleased I started taking it.
Only one 200mg tablet once a day, no more injecting medication! My inflammation is almost gone, I can feel my body trying to flare sometimes with some discomfort but over all I’m feeling so much better. I have more energy and can do so much more without pain.
I have occasional low white cells but nothing worrying. Wishing you all the best with Filgotinib,it’s been life changing for me, hoping it continues. Best of luck to you, let us know how you go. 🤞
