I've just received my PIP Review my award 24 page paperwork form.
Its alot smaller than the last which was about 60+ pages long
Where is says has something changed will they just accept no or shall I elaborate on this in great details and is this to stop the need to go to an assessment which is a bloody nightmare, it's my first since Aug 2016, so I'm panicking already!!
Thanks in advance! đ

Don't just put no, treat it as a new claim.Tick the no change box then tell them why things are the same or getting worse. Give them as much info as you can. Good luck đ
They are tending to do paper-based ones atm but only if things are âstraight forwardâ. I would send in copies of all relevant medical etc info since your last award, and remind them of points awarded for each âtaskâ and longevity of past awards. Put âPIPâ in the search engine on here for extra help etc.
On mine I put no but then elaborated further stating what I still had problems with and added the info from the previous form. Itâs a pain to have to put the info again but just no probably isnât enough. I donât think this is replacing a face to face assessment, they will decide if they need to see you once they go through your review form. I had barely any changes and wasnât seen for an assessment but they did call me to clarify a couple of points and told me over the phone the result of the review. Good luck smd try not to stress about it đ¤
Good luck to your PIP review. .Filling those forms in takes so much effort & time. My daughter had submitted her 60pages form on 6th April. It's her first time applying for PIP. May I ask how long will it take before she will receive a reply? Should she phone DWP to check? Many thanks
Thanks Haz58 for your reply. I phoned DWP today & was told due to the back log (seems to be the current issue with Govt Depts at the moment) it will probably be August 2022 before any response from the, PIP assessment medical team
Hi madme1 for your reply. Phoned this morning & was told due to back log it will probably be August 2022 before my daughter will hear from the Assessment Medical team. A game of Patience required!!
Hi Dave, do have a look at our PIP guide if you haven't already nras.org.uk/resource/person... or call the NRAS Helpline if you have any questions when filling it in (helpline@nras.org.uk or freephone 0800 298 7650)Thanks
It's better to give some information than nothing at all, even if you consider nothing has changed, It's more about providing information than if they accept a no to a question. Do think about each question though, I know there were one or two where I didnât think something had changed until my h prompted me, so maybe you could have someone close to you sit by you whilst filling in your review form. They may have been more aware than you of any changes.
Just for info, only this week someone I know was notified that their award was extended 'for an ongoing periodâ following them returning their review form⌠no tel consultation or face to face needed. I saw the letter, they asked me to check that they understood correctly! I hope for the same for you.
Hi Dave Welfare Rights were a great help to me in getting this filled in. They put no change but would say what I was still having problems with, whether the problem was likely to be on going, and any relevant medical information. They used my words but put it in a way that flowed better.
Hi Dave
I would add information to it and remember you're describing your condition on your worst days. All the best. x
Each to their own, but the legal criteria is âmajority of the timeâ.

Sorry...you're absolutely right. That is the legal standard...I just meant don't downplay it. I wrote 'on a bad day I'm...etc ' đ

Yep. We do tend to focus on what we âcanâ do rather than what we canât day to day, but with PIP we need to flip that đ¤Ż.
