Ankylosing Spondylitis and Covid.Allergic to Paracetamol

Help! Feeling grim second day in to Covid, all joints worse, very ' upper respiratory'ie clogged up throat.Stopped Etoricoxib as gave me a sore itchy bottom, Cocodamol gives me constipation and I'm allergic to Para cetamol!!

Any ideas peeps?

No ideas sadly. I have issues with painkillers too...they give me severe migraine! Depending on where pain is I find alternating with hot and cold compress. I have same condition as you.

Ibuprofen really helped when I had COVID last year. Hope you feel much better soon!

My son is allergic to paracetamol too. He doesnt have RA but when he had covid recently he took Nurofen cold and flu tablets. I know etoricoxib is an NSAID too but I think it’s a Cox 2 one which is different to ibuprofen. Just a thought.

Thankyou so much, I have succumbed to lansaprozole and will start up the Etoricoxib again tonight as Covid has really whizzed up the Ank Spon, even though it doesn't suit my gut, it's got to help!Thanks for replies peeps, Covid is grim, please keep safe , and vaccinated.....
