When I exercise, my main joints click constantly. Mainly my affected elbow when weightlifting, in fact even stretching it can click 5-8 times before straightening out slightly. It never hurts.
I have a nodule on the elbow so is it just air passing around the nodule? It’s never been answered really.

It just the noise the fluid makes as it moves in the joint and is thought to be of no significance (as far as has been established). I've ignored it all my life!
Crepitus is caused by escaping air between the joints, really small bubbles of air (nitrogen) in the synovial fluid which surrounds the joints. You could hear it in any joint & as long as it's not causing pain or there's lack of inflammation around the particular joint/s then it shouldn't need investigating. If there's anything else arthritis related we can help with you only need ask.
