Third dose Booster confusion?

Good morning - I am wondering if anyone else has had the same thing. I was called for my 3rd dose via letter by Rheumatology and had this on 1st October. It shows up on my NHS app. This morning I have had a text message from the NHS Covid team to say I need to book my booster as I am eligible, but records show I haven't had it yet. I am guessing it's just NHS systems not talking to each other. Am I right that if you had a third primary dose, you would then wait 6 months for a Booster? Thanks

yes. and yes I'm sure you are correct it's parts of the computer system not being given the correct information to give you the correct information. It's another example of how we have to be our own medical advisors.

Thanks. I know when I had my third jab the people giving them clearly didn't know it was even a thing!

Immunosuppressed are now entitled to jab four three months after jab three.

Ah OK. Would I have needed to have had a letter about this? I might try to book for the start of January and see what it says

"Severely immunosuppressed individuals who have completed their primary course (3 doses) should be offered a booster dose with a minimum of 3 months between the third primary and booster dose. Those who have not yet received their third dose may be given the third dose now to avoid further delay. A further booster dose can be given in 3 months, in line with the clinical advice on optimal timing."

I think you need to get an invitation before you can book. Mine isn't due until January.

Shame Doctor Rupy Aujla made fun of an enquiry about this on Morning Live today when someone had asked if I've already had three jabs should I get a booster? Hope they will correct that tomorrow!

Yes he laughed and said “no because you’ve already had it” , which as we well know may not be the case. He did not try to find out whether the person enquiring was immune suppressed.It was right at the end of the programme.

Not sensible. People don’t want any more confusion and remiss of him if he didn’t include the immuno-suppressed in this as well. I hope viewers tell them there are lot of people who will be needing a fourth. You wonder about the info being given out on that programme recently! x
