Hi, I’ve been on amgevita since the start of October and all Is well but I’ve been feeling quite low and a bit anxious. Are these side effects? I’m 59 so it may be the menopause? Three so much going on it’s hard to know the cause 🙄
Thanks all xxxx

I don’t know about that biologic but it should tell you in the patient information leaflet. I hope you pick up soon 🤗
I've never had that problem, but I did on sulfasalazine. If you think it might be menopause ask to see your doctor to get a hormone test done.
Mood swings are on the patient leaflet.
Ra and its friends ie other Auto immune illnesses can cause anxiety and depression I think NRAS site has information on this too. Worth chatting to your GP so you can nip it in the bud. I take a low dose med for it as I was never an anxious person and its been a real change in me this year. Some meds do cause it. But worth talking it out so things dont get worse. x
How are your shoulders and arms now?
So much better but then I’ve only just finished a short course of steroids. Fingers crossed 😳
Coming off steroids often makes me feel really down and teary, could it be that? It passes in a week or two though. Hugs to you x
Ah, the joys of RA. Is it the disease, the old meds, the new meds or something else lol
I’m on amgevita (14 months now) and haven’t suffered these effects ? It’s been a godsend to me 👍
I have a friend who out of no where started having major anxiety issues eventually it turned out it was menopause. She did some research and now seems to be on the right hormone replacement and so much better. She did a lot of research
Have you had your bloods done recently?. Might be low B12. Oh the joy of being female and 59. 🤦♀️
I find that I'm a bit 'high' when the steroids are put up and then, as I come down, I often feel teary, anxious and down. I know now that's what it is, so can cope better. Could this be what's causing it?
Speaking of hormones I've been on estrogen tablets for 11 years after my hysterectomy and before that i had panic attacks i swear by them. I had a few doctors in the past try and take me off of them after much study they help with inflammation so definitely a plus.
