Flu and pneumonia vax

Would recommend having but leave a week apart. I had mine at the same time and had a nasty infection within days. Later my GP said should have had s gap as it was too much all in one go for me.

I suppose it depends on whether we have other health issues… and policy friends on location.

I got them on advice, well spaced out in 2015 in the USA. This was a precaution, my decision, as it was obvious that pre diagnosis I certainly had some kind of severe inflammatory arthritis, and most likely RA which it turned out to be.

But over here in the UK, I was given both at the same time last year, less than three months after my last Rituximab infusion. Probably ineffective at that point; should be four weeks before or at least six months after infusions.

But there is obvious good reason that you are advised to space them apart. Having them together had no adverse effects on me. Hope you soon feel better.🙂

I had mine togethef and was dine but we are all different. There is no harm in having them apart to be on the safe side. I will definitely not be having flu jab and covine booster together either.

I don't think our GP's will like 2 trips when one will do. And I'm sure it's going to be third jab and flu together. Mind you I only had a reaction to the first covid jab and that was probably because I'd been told to stop the AZA and Benepali. Second time around I carried on and no problem. I've had the Pnu. jab so should not be done again as its a one off, isn't it ?

I was told that the pneumonia jab lasts five years and you should have another after that.
