I do not have RA

I saw a Prof. in Rheumatology yesterday. He looked at the swollen surroundings of my joints, and said that it is not RA, maybe Psoriasis arthritis - going for a Ultrasound to see what is going on. So I will be leaving this group. Thanks and good luck to all :)

You don't have to leave just because the consultant said you didn't have RA, you have Arthtitis and it is much the same. If you have benefitted from being here then stay darling. xxxx

Good luck but as Sylvi says you don’t have to leave. People here can still be of help and support to you. There are people here who have more than RA/ different conditions and are in a few groups, etc.

I was firstly diagnosed as having Psoriasic arthritis but a blood test and further examination it wasn't but RA. As both are a immune disease why leave the group unless you want too?

I have psoriasic arthritis and many other members too so there is absolutely no need to leave. This forum is great, lots of help and information available especially if your just diagnosed. I know at the start it’s a lot to take in so were always here if you need to ask questions, RA and PSA are similar and treatments are too.

No need to leave, many forum members have psoriatic arthritis or non specific inflammatory arthritis for example which management is the same as RA. Hopefully the ultrasound will give insight into what is happening with you.

Please stay the support on this forum is second to none.

Rheumatologists are internists with special skills and training in the complex diagnosis and treatment of arthritis and rheumatic illnesses and much, much more. They treat patients with pain and disorders of the joints, muscles, tendons, bones and other connective tissues.

Hope you stay, take care.

I agree with the others no need to leave . Whether it’s RA or Psoriasis Arthritis it’s still inflammatory and we are often on the same medication. X

please stay , you're welcome here, and any updates will be of interest, esp to me!! I was diagnosed 2015, +ve for RA, but suddenly my dormant stigmata [soles and palms, not souls and psalms] psoriasis has re-appeared. It began after abt 8 months of marriage but minimised after treatment ... until it re-emerged last autumn after several losses .. friends and family close to my heart but distant now. then an episode which led to A&E .. torn meniscus... crutches etc. so crumbling tho' great adult kids, thankfully. so am wondering if it is RA just
