Thanks for sharing that. They are preliminary findings after one dose of vaccine, but good responses to the vaccine.

Whilst this is kind of re-assuring, it hasn’t split out different vulnerable groups and only looks at those defined at extremely vulnerable. Other studies have indicated lower vaccine effectiveness for RA patients on methotrexate and other drugs though with small patient numbers. I think larger studies are being done, but until they are published and reviewed I think caution is still sensible.

Thank you. Just going to wait for other studies. The Lancet one showed far less protection. John Hopkins showed only minority of eg transplant patients had any protection.

I’m glad UK GOV invested in 100 million doses of Valneva (whole inactivated virus, traditional vaccine) and intends rolling out a booster programme this autumn. Priority for older and most vulnerable groups.

Valneva should be authorised this autumn.

Thank you. I am still looking forward to the Octave study, as that should offer findings following both doses of vaccine. Good news though...
