Humira citrate free

Very impressed with the new formulation and the redesigned pens. Whereas I would get a bit of a sting before, now with the thinner needle I don't feel a thing.

Has anyone else noticed the difference?

Hi, I’ve not long started taking humira - I was previously on Enbrel which was painful every time I injected. I agree with you that the humira injection is completely pain free. Now I just hope it works!!

Well good luck with it. I've been on humira for a few years now and have been pain free from the start. I was supposed to be taking methotrexate every week as well but I gave that away and it didn't seem to damage the protection that I get from humira.

Thanks Ghugs,I’ve had 5 injections now and, although they haven’t hurt, I’ve only had a slight improvement in pain. The rheumatologist said to give it 3 months so I’m still hopeful...

Interesting.....it worked for me from the first week. I take one pen injection every 2 weeks. Are you taking methotrexate as well?

Hi Ghugs, just found your reply! No, I can’t take methotrexate as I had a horrible reaction to it, so it’s just humira on its own. I’m actually feeling worse than when I started taking it but the rheumatologist said to give it 3 months so I’m plodding on a bit longer - no choice really as I doubt that I’ll be able to see her for a long while yet. X

Surprised you have had to wait so long for citrate free version. I've had them 6 years. Been on Humira 7 years. So much better x
