You may have read the brilliant news that the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has issued draft guidance that gives approval for certain anti-TNF therapies to be prescribed for people with so-called ‘moderate’ rheumatoid arthritis (see nras.org.uk/2021/06/10/bigg....

If the following apply to you and you would like to share your story, please email samuel@nras.org.uk:

* this issue affects you and you are willing to share your story publicly, e.g. in a news piece

* you are NOT currently being treated with an advanced therapy such as a biologic/biosimilar or JAK inhibitor

* you feel your disease is active and is impacting your daily life

* you have lived with RA for more than 18 months and are not newly diagnosed

Thank you for sharing this article, I’m currently on hydroxychloroquine, methotrexate, Lefluminode, etoricoxib & prednisolone, my consultant who I saw privately said I may need more expensive treatment which I believe could mean biologics, he advised my gp to add me to the NHs list which I was informed currently has a 77 week waiting list, I found out yesterday that the drs have sent a follow up letter asking if my appointment can be expedited as I’m unable to even access the rheumatologist helpline until I’ve seen the NHs department.

I’ve been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis so this announcement will hopefully mean good news for me as well as many others.

Thank you to all concerned for campaigning for more equity in relation to anti-TNF drugs

Thank you… I pace and rest to prevent flares, so my DAS is always low/ moderate… My life is non-existent. This can hopefully change now…
