Soo I have now got antibionics for a sinus infection x been feeling awful

For a few months and putting off dr x yesterday I had to call as was starting to get. A stiff neck going down throug shoulders x

Dr told me off for not going sooner !! And basically said if you get an infection you need to let us know So new to all this I knew couldn’t take methotrexate and hydroxychlorine and so thought I would keep trying to get rid of it x wish I had gone sooner as look like elephant man 🙄 anyway max antibiotics for 10’days x I’m

Just worried that I will be back on crutches with no meds x anyone else been like this x I’ve avoided any infections so this is a first x thanks guys

Oh no, its all new to me too so don't beat yourself up. Really hope you feel the benefits of the antibiotics sooner than later bit good news you are on them.

Not had sinus infection get like that ever! When I was on MTX and HCQ, we just stopped the MTX if infection developed, even on antibiotic. But I never let any signs of infection go on without seeking advice.

You absolutely do not want to risk encephalitis, worse than meningitis, and much worse than crutches due to RA.

RA inflammation can be subdued far more easily than those. Please do be careful to go back if your symptoms are not noticeably improved within two or three days. X 🐕

Yes but I can taste a sinus infection and GP prescribes a nasal spray and oral antibiotics. Horrible and painful so I hope your feeling better soon.

Thankyou I’m feeling much better than earlier this week still a few days left on antibiotics but I’ve been told to call straight back if it’s not cleared completely x I hope you are feeling much better now I know you’ve been having a really rough time xx
