No but I would speak to your doctor if you are very itchy or even feel sick.

Used to be on it years ago. But had to come off it, as it gave me the most awful itchy rash, especially when exposed to sunlight. It affected my arms mostly, Now, I have a permanent allergic reaction to sunlight, have to keep my arms covered even on the hottest day and have to take antihistamines on a daily basis.

I took it when I was first diagnosed and I ended up getting a bad rash on my head. And some of it has left scars above my eyebrows.

This did settle though but I came off it as I had a really upset stomach.

The consultant said it can cause itchiness especially in the sun, I now have to put sun cream on for any areas exposed to sun, I was told to stop taking it when I started MTX & oh boy did I feel worse, the pain came back 10 fold so back on it, I’d get it checked out though just to be on the safe side. I’ve put a photo below of possible side effects x

Since then I have been on all sorts of meds. Because HXQ was the last DMARD that I could have beause of asthma. I had already been taken off MTX. I was put on Imraldi, but that sent me spotty. I was then put on Baricitinib, however, due to a collapse following a blood clot (unknown cause, but Baricitinib can cause clots) I have been moved onto Rituximab. I have one successful infusion cycle. Now waiting for my second covid jab (again my body reacted on the jab, I went breathlessness) in an allergy clinic. I am seeing my Rheummy next month for the first time in clinic for nearly 18 months. I saw him on the ward and, apparently, I saw him in ICU. I am hoping for another RTX infusion to follow.
