Yes. It seems those of us that are immunosuppressed are being told to have the vaccine if it’s offered to us because it’s safe, even if it may not work brilliantly for us. Well worth watching I agree.

I dont want to make that medical statement but that is what was said by the five senior vaccinology , trial, and epidemiologists talking. I hope NRAS will now agree that us with auto immune conditions should have the vaccine If your not on the zoe app consider joining, it helps the data. !!

True. I'm only repeating exactly what was said in that webinar. I should have used quote marks when I wrote "...it is safe..."as it was said by every one of the experts on that webinar. We were also told that the ZOE app will also allow us to report out post-vaccination experience, which will be really helpful to the scientists too.

Hi Allanah, please be assured that we (NRAS) are currently working with the BSR (British Society for Rheumatology) on putting together the most accurate and up to date information on the vaccines and will be publishing this within the next week. As we are not experts on the vaccine we are being very careful to gain as much understanding and expert advice as possible before publishing any information. Thank you for bearing with us!

Thank you for being cautious - no US rheumie I know is recommending vaccination yet as much needs to be learned about best protocols. It’s insane to me that in the UK rheumie’s have spoken to are saying “yes go for it!” I prefer caution. It’s not about safety, yes it’s safe, it’s about ensuring the best biological response and minimizing flares.
