Grateful for advice please: would anyone know where I could buy a very small medication fridge? I've heard that generally they are very expensive! My fridge at home gets packed up with food etc. I get a bit concerned about temperature! And when it comes to defrosting the fridge, well I hardly do because of biologic being stored. HAH always deliver 8 pens. Thanks in advance.

I take my injections out of the boxes so they take up less space. If it’s more the temperature you’re concerned about, have you got a fridge thermometer?
On Enbrel leaflet it states to keep out of light, therefore I keep in the boxes as fridge light comes on everytime someone indoors opens the fridge, quite often! Hence wanting to get a medication fridge. Thermometer, good idea! Thanks

Mine are in one outer box at the bottom of the fridge, the light is at the top so they’re not in the light but as AC said put them into something smaller that’s dark if you’re worried 😊
I bought a small one for the utility area as it seemed easier to keep it stored along with the disposal bin. I have an area with a big freezer and stored home made jams and pickles and soap powder so access regularly and it just got in the way in the kitchen fridge. Mine came from Amazon and we temperature checked it for accuracy, it was good otherwise we were going to use in the man cave for cold drinks and use it in the car on going away.

Russell hobs I yesterday just knew it was silver. As I said we checked it for temperature accuracy it was ok.
My sister gave me a small fridge for my pens but I had to stop using it. It couldn’t really be temperature controlled but was instead set to remain 19 degrees below the ambient temperature.
I bought a fridge thermometer and spent an awful lot of time checking it was cold enough, particularly in the hot weeks of summer when the temperature outside was surprisingly high. I had to put the pens back in the kitchen fridge whenever it got particularly hot or indeed cold.
I finally gave up when we had a power cut at 2 am and I came down in the morning and found 7 soggy pens. Due to the time limit on use once they were out of the fridge, I had to ditch 4 pens. Unlike an ordinary fridge these little fridges return to room temperature almost immediately.
I guess it might work better if you have a utility area with a consistent temperature and don’t live on an island with a tendacy towards power cuts but I found it pretty stressful!!
oh no stressful definitely. I think it would be best to buy a proper medication fridge like HanaleiBa. I am awaiting a reply find out where to buy the Coolmed.
I spent the money for a real medication fridge - the ones on Amazon etc. aren’t 100% reliable. Some folks are ok with that, but I wasn’t. And regular fridges really vary - plus are opened all the time. I started tracking it and that really freaked me out LOL :). It varies so much all day and night. So I got a Coolmed. The small size. It’s been perfect ever since and no worries. About £400. But this is for life so had to. At least until I go on Xeljanz - the RA pill.
Now I need a travel one and, again, no matter the good reviews I’ve spent like £200 over the past 2 years on various products that were really variable and therefor stressful. Twice have had to take my meds a week early because I got where I was going and then THAT fridge didn’t get to the right temp in time.
I’m saving now and will buy the latest product out of France. It’s called Life in a Box. It’s tiny and light weight, has a 6 hour battery, can plug into the wall or car plug. It seems legitimate and is good tech but expensive. That said, what can you do, I need it to feel safe on road trips and Airbnb’s and hotels. None of the other products really work (I should know, I spent the money on a temperature device that “alerts me” when the meds go above or below 2-8c, and I spent 8 hours driving being alerted and having to open and close the cooler. Ugh! Again, those fridges and all the fixes (airplane ice, bring a mini thermometer, etc) people suggest online don’t really keep your meds at 2-8c for sure and without stressful constant monitoring.
I’m shocked there’s no good affordable solution - I wish I were an engineer because a good product would be a £100 million idea! We just have to see what comes out in time.

Just thinking outside the box have you had a look at a wine fridge at all plus could you ask for a back up power supply for home if needed?

Found this one that claims to cover 0 to 10c i have not used them at all if its just something I form on web as I have one that goes down to 2cbut they don't make it anymore.

No problem I think it is best to check that it does what it says on the paperwork as always it could be wrong if you do go that route I think you need to check The temp etc plus see if there is any others that do it

Same for Enbrel too. States on Enbrel leaflet.
I just bought a mini fridge for medication etc. Delivered last Friday £90 from AO.com. It’s perfect for my room which gets over 30 degrees in summer. It’s a decent size and fits lots of food in too. I live in a shared flat so only have 1 shelf in the main fridge. It even has a little freezer box .
