Hi , how you all doing? I had a telephone physio appointment (first one) on Monday but I ended up in tears explaining all my symptoms, my feet are so sore this week, so was told to come in today so she could have a look , oh boy she was very thorough I was so sore afterwards, anyway she said I had Posterior Tibialis Tendon Dysfunction, commonly found along with inflammatory Arthritis, yet it’s OA I was diagnosed with has anyone else been told they have this with R.A. or OA ? Thankyou xx

Hi,
The advice I can give is ask for a referral to podiatry who can then refer on to orthotics who will make insoles for you which should ease some of the discomfort.

Ah, thank you for posting this. I am also suffering from really sore feet, feels like someone has beaten them with a pole and I have noticed calluses on the pad below my little toe. Does this sound familiar?
If so you have inspired me to do something about it as I have just been putting up with this for several months now but maybe I aught to insist on referral back to physios. I am worried that it will be putting my knee and hip out of alignment leading to more problems in the future.
P.S I have inflammatory arthritis with undifferentiated connective tissue disease. Thanks again. x
Hi Rosie , thankyou for replying, no idon t have any Calluses but the beaten with a stick I can deffo relate to , oh man it’s hellish 🤪 yea deffo look at going back to physio. Take care xx
I haven't but that's great she knows, shes the professional. Orthotics are always helpful I find x
Yes, I have this - in my case it is because of fallen arches which cause my feet to roll inwards putting strain on the tendon which runs from underfoot, around the ankle and up the leg. I wear Vionic insoles which really help (better than the ones Podiatry provided). Good luck in getting sorted.
My physio has referred me to podiatry again for new insoles after my recent foot changes, I’ve got subluxation of the 2nd/3rd metatarsal joint. They annoyingly wrote to me saying they aren’t accepting new patients due to covid. So just wanted to give you the heads up in case it’s the same in your area. It’s good you’re going to get yourself some insoles in the meantime just in case x
Aww thankyou for the heads up Pinktreaclemonkey, yea could be a long wait😣 sore feet is not good , sending you hugs xx
Hi Goodwin69. Yes I seem to have a lot of tendon involvement with my disease generally (diagnosis is zero negative inflammatory arthritis). About a year ago I was diagnosed with PTTD - rheumatologist reckoned it was unconnected and sent me to physio, the physio said it was due to the inflammatory arthritis and wouldn’t be sorted by physio, would only improve when my disease was controlled!
So I’ve just stumbled along since really, orthotics have helped somewhat, also supportive shoes but it does flare if I try to stand for too long, or walk for more than 10/15 mins.
Hi monkeysmum, thankyou for replying, stumble along sounds so familiar, not sure how much longer I can though crying on a daily basis😣so happy to speak to people in the same rocky boat ...sending you hugs x
