Flu Jab

Hi

I was wondering has anyone has had a flu jab while taking Tocilizumab should consult a doctor before having the vaccine.

I was wondering the same lovely as I had my golimumab injection last Tuesday and haven’t had my flu jab yet got it booked for 3 rd November

I get flu jab on TCZ. It's not live vaccine x

Oh ok thank you I was a bit worried I have only been on a biologic for a few months you have put my mind at rest

The ones to be careful are the live vaccines but the shingles one for older people you have to time for two weeks before your TCZ. Obviously check with the person giving you the vaccine. They should do checks anyway. !

I have the flu jab every year. I've been on many bionics for the past 8 years. Its on l y live vaccines your not able to have.

I have just had my flu jab and they said it was fine if you are on biologic as you all have said its not a live vaccine so all ok . Thank you to everyone

I was on Tocilizumab until January. My Rheumatologist stopped it because I developed Kidney cancer. However, in answer to your question I was on Tocilizumab for 10 years and for every one of those years I received a Flu jab. I did not experience any issues whatsoever.

I am on Tocilizumab too ..l have had the flu and Pneumonia Injections no problems x

Yes my biologics nurse said that I should always have it
