When i started taking this drug some 4 years ago sulfasalasine had stopped working & Mx actually made my arthritis much worse. I've found it to be a very good drug for me although the initial side effects did take a bit to get used to. These were mainly digestive (diarrhoea l change of taste which put me off sugary sweet stuff but helpful as I lost a couple of stone initially.
My research found leflunomide is one of the few Dmards that was developed just for rheumatoid arthritis, the rest were found as a side effect of treating something else.
Personally I would say give it a try.

That's interesting, because Lefleunomide is the only Dmard I can tolerate. I've tried all the others and I got really awful side effects with them all. Apart from a bit of hair loss at the beginning, I don't think I have any side effects from Leflunomide at all.
