Ultrasound injections
Do you mean ultrasound guided injections?
They can be a bit “ouchy”, but only lasts a second or two. And more effective than just inter-muscular steroid jabs in your bum.
I found the ultrasound guided injection into my finger the most effective. Do remember to “ rest” the joint injected for a day or two after as they often forget to tell you. Get your initial relief from the steroid to start reducing the inflammation before you start trying to strengthen it otherwise you will just aggravate it more. Hoping it works quickly for you.
I get these done every few weeks to try and manage my pain. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I get bifudicaine/marcaine mixture, have had prolotherapy, nothing works for very long. Hopefully you are getting some other medication injected and I hope it works for you.
I had one in my shoulder some time back & was disappointed that it didn’t work at all. However I have had a lot of steroid injections before that & think they get progressively less effective.everyone is different. Good luck with yours.
I had it in my my hand 2 months ago and it was great. Need one in the other hand now. Oh to find drugs that work for me. It hurts like hell for a few seconds but worth it for the relief of being able to close your hand
I've had several and the interesting thing is, at least at my hospital; you can watch it on a small screen! Fascinating for this nerdy girl. The guided injections have always worked better for me.
