Is there a difference between inflammatory arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis?

Rheumatoid arthritis is one of the inflammatory arthrites, there are quite a lot of them. You can think of inflammatory arthritis as a bowl of fruit, and RA is the lemon.. other fruits are available.

Too funny. U love lemons but this is not nice. Why do they not diagnose you clearly and wait around for it to get worse?

I think it’s very hard even for the experts to pinpoint exactly which one you may have as many of the inflammatory arthritises have similar presentations. Time and patterns seen in your blood work, scans and X-rays usually helps to get the diagnosis right.

My bloods are always normal but but mri showed a damaged tendon in bursa and bone spurs in hand. Ive got tendonitis and tennis elbow already. Its fruatrating as all my joints hurt and are so tender to the touch x

Don’t worry, as the treatments are pretty similar for all of them - trial and error!
