I’m on steroids as well so have been shielding with a few minor lapses. My infusion is overdue. I’m retired so thankfully I don’t have to think about returning to work.

I had my last infusion in November 2019 and haven’t been back to work ( I work as a teaching assistant in a primary school). I’ve been shielding as advised but think I’m going to have to go back in September. All the information says that If you’ve had Rituximab within the last 12 months you are vulnerable so I might ring my Rheumatalogist to see what they say.......

I had my last biosimilar infusion in late February days before they were suspended. I have been shielding but have started going out for walks, talking to neighbours, going out with my son etc. I also have my cleaner coming in again although socially distanced and tradesmen. So far so good no problems I just think its a matter of common sense really being extra aware of distancing and not going into crowded confined spaces. Of course children are the least affected by this virus so they are unlikely to threaten you in anyway. HTH.

Hi

I had my last infusion in a early January and am due my next 'round' starting next week. I did not get any letter advising to isolate and have not been off work at all as I work in manufacturing which has never been subject to lockdown closure.

I've also had to go out to shop for food as I live on my own and could not get home delivery from anywhere.

I'm now wondering if I should have had a letter after reading the above comments however I have not had any symptoms and no one at my work has had any symptoms despite two of them having partners who are front line NHS nurses. Myself and all my colleagues have all been very, very careful to ensure to distance, stagger break times and enhance all hygiene routines.

I hope this gives some confidence to anyone who has been isolating who now needs to go back to their workplace. Hopefully your employers will be as proactive as mine to put new procedures in place to help you stay safe at work but you need to also work with them and openly discuss any concerns you might have to reach a common sense approach.
