Thigh tenderness

Hope everyone is as well as can be - quick question in the world of RA. Has anyone ever experienced a tender thigh pain? It's almost when you touch it it feels very delicate and slightly aches, just on one side though.

Here’s the thing with RA it's tough to determine whether it's a flare or the meds causing this.

Best - Hessie 😌

I get one spot on outside right thigh comes and goes. Mostly comes during a flare. I have it now. I have been for physio. They told me to exercises like the clam or use a physio band across my knees and push against the resistance. What works for ME I press on sore the spot until pain goes then trace the pain and put pressure on the pain and keep going till the line of pain goes.. does that make sense? This works for me

I went through a short phase of getting stabbing pains in the inner thighs and a strange pain if I touched them. Clothes rubbing o them didn't have the same effect. No idea what it was. Weird

I have pains on both my thighs for the past 3months and I might ring up the rumey nurse about it! I take mtx, leflumomide and hdy. I don't know if it's a side effect as I have been on all 3drugs for a good few years x

That sounds nasty. Mine just went away but as your's haven't I think checking with your rheumy nurse would be a good idea. I do hope you can get it sorted

Hi Carolsos - hmmm very interesting as I take Leflunomide too, 10mg a day. I did wonder if it is a side effect with some kind of nerve pain - I started leuf in January. I did some stretching last night for pain, and It is improved this morning. I hope you are feeling better soon. Hessie 😌

Hi Gnarli - thanks for the response. It is all so odd; it can be one thing after the other with RA. It appears much improved this morning thankfully; it's my curious mind wondering what is going on there. Hope you are doing well under the current climate. Hessie 😌

I'm glad you're feeling better, Hessie. RD is just full of surprises isn't it. I reckon it likes to keep us on our toes to stop life getting boring. I'm doing ok, thanks. Just cross with myself for overdoing things in the garden. Again. But I got three borders weeded, so there!
