I mentioned my 'lipomas' a while ago. I have a few hard pea sized lumps one deep in my thigh, 2 near my elbows. I had them scanned and was told they were nothing to worry about.
However, I have developed more, they are often accompanied by pain and bruising. I have developed more in the top of my right thigh at the front which have bruised and today on the outside of just below my left hip. as I am sitting here I can feel one or two on the other thigh/hip too.
They feel like hard cellulite - which is why I have been ignoring them. After my blood test today i showed the GP my latest unexplained bruise on my ankle (the biggest so far about 2x3inches and very hot) she wasn't concerned about either saying my bloods hadn't shown anaemia.
I am going to call again tomorrow because I can't find any information on what it could be.
Has anyone else had this? Could it be RA/PsA related?

Ok so as not to concern you , the treatment is the same !!
I have fibroblastic rheumatoid disease so rheumatoid with lumps. !!! Actually doesnt bother me too much, no more than normal RA . It's very rare though but worth asking rheumatologist. It makes very little difference the title though the treatment is the same !
If he says it could be,( although I do doubt it) pm me. It is rare but as you asked ... 😂😂😍
Hi allanah - I just found panniculitis images and the new bruise i have looks just like the ones online, a kind of browny, pink, slightly red and large
Panniculitis apparently causes these bruises and the lumps. Is this what you have?
My father and his mother both had blood cancers. Naturally, I am terrified.
Chat with the doc, blood test results mustnt show them anything they are worried about so that's reassuring ! My lumps are proper round lumps mainly around my joints and in my joints xx
I hope they get to the bottom of it soon for you xx
some of them feel like lumpy cellulite, some are like hard rubbery slippery peas. Some seem to come and go and those are the ones that are painful and sometimes make the skin above look bruised.
How very odd - mine are similar like lumpty cellulite/peas, but they don't bruise. Sometimes ache a bit but not painful though. We do get some weird stuff don't we
Well, I'm hoping that it is the RD/PsA or whatever - because hopefully medication will sort it out and I can stop worrying that it's something even more sinister...
sorry - some are around joints some are really deep in my thighs and then some are close to the surface and they are the ones which are painful. I usually feel a bruise and then when I touch it I can feel the lumps underneath, they then become bruised, initially blue and then the usual spectrum of bruise colours!
