You think you are joking....but when I travelled a lot it was standard practice to get Scotch into “dry” countries in a Dettol bottle...in those days the customs officer was satisfied to confiscate the “medicine “ if we were caught.

I dread to think what would happen these days!

Another practice was that in some countries you could declare yourself as an alcoholic & you were given a voucher to purchase alcohol! 🍾🍾🍾

It was obviously a ploy to make money, because you were allowed to buy 5 bottles of Spirits a day!
