I think I,m going through a flare up has anyone been told to increase their steroids when this happens.

You should not alter prescription drug doses without referral to you doctor/ rheumy nurse.

Try to contact them ASAP.

Yes I contacted my Rheumy nurse because I’m having a flare and my next infusion has been postponed. I have been advised I may increase my Predisnolone dosage when i need to.

I do think you should ask for advice from your Rheumy before you increase your dose.

Yes I have and would echo Aged crone as steroids seem to be a factor with covid.

I have an arrangement agreed with my rheumatologist to double my steroids for a week if I have a flare. I have to keep a record of how often this is.

But if you don't already have an agreement, you should contact your medical team by phone or email for advice.

Hi yes I've had a flare up especially in my wrists which for me is the worst pain ever. Doc sent me prednisolone 6 x 5 for a week then reduce 5mg a week. It's now ok just hope when I'm off it is can function as well.
