Flare :(

I'm flaring for the first time in 8 months. 2 weeks ago I woke up with stiffness all over and feeling flu like, since then different joints have been swelling. At the moment my knee is like a football and throbbing badly. I can't cope with flares, I get so down. Gutted because I thought I was stable on naproxen and leuflunomide.Just venting where people understand. Thanks for reading x

I reckon it's going to be a duvet day with lots of warmth and snuggles, rest and relaxing. Looking at the awful weather it's probably the best place to be. Wishing you better

Sorry for the flare Dreamer... I have been in remission for around two years now and I still flare, so I think it is just the nature of the disease. I know that doesn't help any, but I don't want you to get discouraged and think your treatments aren't working. They probably are, but much like Ebenezer Scrooge said (paraphrased). "I don't trust my senses because the smallest thing can affect them - you could be a blot of mustard or a bit of underdone potato." Only for RA it can be a weather event, a bad phone call or even a stupid bill that can set the inflammation off. Here is hoping you are feeling better - gentle hugs

Thanks Kai - Never sure when guessing at a quote...

We're all with you Dreamer. It's even worse when the weather is as bad as this. Keep warm. XXXX

Apparently I've heard that taking Naproxen should be a daily thing to avoid the possibility of bad flare ups, I was taking it as and when but when I started taking it every day regardless, my flare ups aren't as bad...Hope U feeling better soon....

Sorry to hear that. It’s really rubbish when we start to flare after doing so well. I’m flaring after being stable for six months 😔. I blame the weather. Hope you feel better soon.
