My partner and I should be high risk but neither of us have received a txt/letter so far from gov.com.
It’s been very hard to keep my partner home he goes to town everyday. He says wants exercise but I said going to to town is a risk of meeting people infected with covid-19

A lot of people I know have received txt messages to inform them they are high risk. I have access to my GP records and they have asthma which is mild and RA but not bronchietasis which is on par with copd
If he insists can you social isolate him? Separate beds, meals, rooms etc. It might be going OTT but strictly speaking this is a form of domestic abuse (emotional).
There seems to be far too many people who either can’t see further than the end of their nose, or are too selfish.
Sorry I’m so anti but it really annoys me when anyone thinks that they’re above the law.
Only extremely vulnerable persons with severe conditions will get letters...at the moment. I had a look yesterday at the Gov.uk site and it has a list of health conditions as you go through the application form. I have RA and over the years have had all of the treatments up until last year. The only one i still take is prednisolone for the last 17 years which i know is a risk. I have bronchiectasis too and checked on my letter from my specialist. I think the spiro test gave a level of 63% which equates to mild COPD. I have had three exacerbations over the last year so i know i must shield myself even though I dont fit the list above. We are in our seventies now but luckily my partner is quite healthy so is managing to look after me. Hopefully by next week we will be able to get what we need if the shops are better stocked. Hope you find this information helpful. Keep well.
Good idea to talk to GP. There are two text messages going out. A general one to anybody the NHS has the mobile phone number of, and one for high risk people. Maybe the NHS doesn't have your mobile number? You could get a letter in the post later this week..
