This is new to me. I'm just having tests. My hands hurt and occasional fingers get very swollen & hurt. X-ray has shown nothing & so waiting for a scan. In the meantime I have lots of typing of my clients to do. I have sussed sending text messages using microphone & I am hoping to use this for clients files, however, their files are in google sheets and although the microphone comes up and it types the first letter (so I would assume it's heard me) it types no more. I've got loads of typing to do and so I'm hoping if I can get this sorted a) it'll be quicker & b) it'll be easier on my hands - if anyone has any ideas I'd really appreciate it please - thank you so much

I use a program called dragon at work. Perhaps you could ask your IT if they hold a licence.
Look for another voice controlled word processing/computer control program. You may be able to copy the google docs into another application. Slather on deep heat, lydocaine, and cbd cream then put on arthritis gloves. It works for a few hours.
Microsoft have a free speech to text app which may be helpful. I found it a bit difficult to get used to but, then again, I'm not the most tech savvy person around. Once I got the hang of it I found it to be quite straight forward.
I got my work to get me Dragon natually speaking software as part of an adjustment, which I use though mostly with word documents. On good days I try to type a bit, on other days I use Dragon.
