Hi Minah, low moods and anxiety are a quite normal partner to RA. Don't beat yourself up about it. There are many ways you can help yourself.

Have a look at the NRAS website for publications that deal with this subject. You may wish to speak to one of their specially trained volunteers on a person to person basis. The telephone volunteers are all people who live with RA and will know what you may be going through.

Sending you lots of positive energy. Keep in touch. We are here for you.

I think it's good and a positive that you have reached out by posting here Minah, so keep in touch and please if you need support and help keep reaching out, speak with your GP as KittyJ posted and they can signpost you to services or therapies which if appropriate may be of help, but I'm glad you have made contact here. Sending some more warm wishes your way.

Hello Minah. Sending you hugs and warm wishes. I do understand how you feel. Have you spoken to your GP about it? I went through a marriage break up which made the depression worse. I was referred to a mental health professional and spoke to this person fortnightly over the space of about a year. I found it really helped me and without it, I may still be down that black hole which you feel you can’t get out of. Having chronic pain is difficult to deal with and some of the medication I have found makes the depression worse. I hope you get the help you need. This forum is full of people who offer the best advice. Some of whom got me through the hardest part of my life a few years ago. You’re in safe hands 😊👍🏻

Thanks for your support and love to all of you .I will surely speak to my GP

I am with you. Read "How to Be Sick" by Toni Bernhard. I also watch Zen Masters on YouTube like Thich Nhat Hanh, really, really helps to practice taking your mind off your suffering.
